We Can Change Humanity’s Future

When Neale Donald Walsch and I founded Humanity’s Team 20 years ago, our intention was to create the space for a new form of spirituality – one where we could experience the Divine without making others wrong for the way they experienced it. Our nonprofit organization quickly became a global grassroots movement of more than 10,000 members, united in our intention to free humanity from the disempowering belief in a violent, angry, and vindictive God.

Two decades later, our mission has expanded and is stronger than ever. We intend to create a sustainable and flourishing world for all of humanity.

While stories of division fill the headlines and the nightly news, those of us here at Humanity’s Team – and thousands of like-minded others across the planet – know the truth of our Oneness and the interconnectedness of all life.

The world we have seen these last three years in particular has given us all a valuable wakeup call. The increasing global violence and ecological destruction represent an eye-opening preview of what life will be like if we continue down the path of separation.

Humanity’s Team is answering that call with our Changing Humanity’s Future Initiative. As part of this Initiative, we joined forces last year with Neale Donald Walsch and his Conversations with God Foundation, as well as with thought leaders from around the world, to jumpstart our evolution into a new world of peace and possibility. A world where kindness, compassion, and authenticity are the foundation of our thoughts and actions.

Not only do we intend to create a better future for all of humanity, we intend to do so within a single generation. Our goal is to make conscious living pervasive by 2040. This mission is ambitious, yes. It is also absolutely achievable. With more than 700,000 friends in 150 countries, our growing community aims to reach the critical mass necessary to shift from a paradigm of fear and separation to a new age of consciousness based on love, compassion, and unity.

You may be wondering, “Why 2040? Why will it take 17 years to create a better future?”

Unfortunately, it takes time and money to transform the planet. Our vision is that all human beings have access to life-changing knowledge and transformational practices to raise their individual and collective consciousness. That’s why the initial stages of the Changing Humanity’s Future Initiative include making our educational programs available in all major languages.

Reaching every corner of the globe in multiple languages requires a significant investment. Because we are a nonprofit organization, fundraising plays a necessary and critical role. Donations – as well as revenue from our masterclasses and Humanity Stream+ subscriptions – influence how fast we can make our transformational tools and conscious community available around the world.

You may also be wondering, “How will we know when we have succeeded in making conscious living pervasive?” We’ll know when we live in ways that nurture the whole of life on our planet, such as: 

• We become stewards of the Earth rather than takers. We remove the plastic from the oceans and we replant the forests. We no longer pollute the very systems needed to sustain us and all of life. No natural resource is wasted or destroyed.
  
  
• We shift our focus from consumption to community, where happiness is derived from the quality of our relationships rather than the quantity of our possessions.
  
  
• We take care of our human family, dramatically reducing the number of children who suffer from malnutrition (currently 14 million), as well as the number of children who die every day from illness caused by contaminated water and unhygienic living conditions (currently 700 each and every day).
  
  
• We teach and value compassion, cooperation, and communication in our schools and families – rather than competition and comparison.

So, how do we get from here to there? In the next post, we’ll outline our plan for making conscious living pervasive by 2040 and the many ways you can be a part of it.
