Late last year, American spiritual teacher Ram Dass left his bodily form, but his spirit and his legacy live on.
For those of you who may not be familiar with him, in the early 1970s Ram Dass’s book Be Here Now was published, and word of it traveled fast, enlivening the imagination of hundreds of thousands of readers all over the world, including me.
Be Here Now. It seems so simple, yet many of us struggle to maintain a sense of peace in the present moment, our minds wandering to the past and the future trying to rewrite or resolve situations that don’t even exist!
Being on a conscious spiritual journey is a decision we make each and every day. Sometimes it takes courage to stay on course, and in those times we reach for our own personal practices that help us re-connect to our Divine Nature.
In a recent email, I shared with you my confirming prayer which helps me feel deeply connected to the Divine, and empowered to serve humanity with commitment and integrity.
We all have our own ways of making that connection to our Source.
“The spiritual journey is individual, highly personal. It can't be organized or regulated. It isn't true that everyone should follow one path. Listen to your own truth.” —Ram Dass
Listen to your own truth. I think all of us can agree that when we really listen and are able to hear our own truth, it’s much easier to follow Divine direction, and our spiritual journey becomes even more joyful, powerful, and loving.
We at Humanity’s Team are here to support you on your personal spiritual journey so that you can expand into even more of your own true Self.
And in honor of Ram Dass, let’s all remember to Be Here Now!
In Loving Oneness,
Steve
