Tomorrow is New Year’s day so I’m going to share some musings...
New Year’s is a very special day for me. It always feels fresh and new, like I’m stepping into a new reality from an old reality, and there’s a sense of anticipation about the journey that is just ahead.
And there’s something else I want to bring in, something that was born into the world: a “New Spirituality” that is unfolding into our reality and growing with each passing day.
The New Spirituality is a worldview and way of living that involves deep reverence for the Divine, the Earth, each person, and all of life.
Some years ago, during “Birth 2012,” there was talk of a paradigm shift, an important new worldview. Perhaps something was actually born into the world at that time but the gestation period is a generation, not just a year.
The New Spirituality renews and restores our connection with the Divine and one another. It is inclusive of all faith traditions and indigenous wisdom. Nobody is left out.
Other sentient beings are in this, as well. The Earth and all life are part of this.
Perhaps, day by day, we are wiping away misconceptions so we may open our collective eyes to the New Spirituality that represents our new conception of life.
We can even call this our new understanding of Ultimate Reality, and perhaps this is the “thing” that helps us get things right and turn our world right-side-up.
What we’re talking about here—the birth of a New Spirituality—is what Humanity’s Team is about.
We were founded in June, 2003, for this very purpose—to usher in a new worldview, a new way of living on the Earth, a way that honors each person’s impulse toward the Divine and honors the sanctity of all of life.
Today, let’s celebrate how far we’ve come and what is coming into view as this New Year is emerging. We are approaching this new reality now!
