You are an Individuation of Divinity, an Expression of God on Earth

The topic we are going to explore in this post may be the single most important message in all of the nearly 4,000 pages of the Conversations with God oeuvre. It’s important because the embracing by humanity of this one single message could bring an end to all of the man-made calamities and catastrophes that are being visited upon our planet every day.

So let me begin by stepping back a pace and looking at this whole subject from just a little distance.

Most of us who have been taught about a God at all have been taught that God is the All-in-All, the Unmoved Mover, the Alpha and the Omega. God, we are told, is All-Knowing, All-Powerful, and Everywhere Present.

If we accept these messages—that is, if we embrace the thought that what has been said above is true—then we are led to these immediate conclusions:

We are all One. All things are One Thing. There is only One Thing, and all things are part of the One Thing There Is. This means that you are Divine. You are not your body, you are not your mind, and you are not your soul. You are the unique combination of all three, which comprises the Totality Of You. You are an individuation of Divinity, an expression of God on Earth.

Logical as they may be, these conclusions, it turns out, have become highly controversial—largely because our idea of separation from our Deity and from each other has been so long lodged in our ancient story.

We have developed as a species, of course, since that story first emerged. Not, perhaps, as much as we would like, given some of our continuing barbaric behaviors, but we are now moving more rapidly than never in our evolutionary process—egged on by our own growing knowledge of life itself.

It wasn’t long ago that astronomer and author Carl Sagan shared with the world the fascinating fact that analysis showed rocks brought back from the moon and debris falling to Earth from much farther out in space (meteors, space dust, etc.) all contained the same fundamental elements found on this planet. Not only in the rocks and dust of this planet, but in everything—including birds, animals, trees . . . and people.

The same chemical and mineral building blocks are apparently present in all the objects of the cosmos.We’re all made of the same stuff, Sagan smilingly declared. Everything is One Thing, simply manifested in different combinations and constructions.

Take these elements and mix them in one proportion and you have a tree. Mix them in another way and you have a human. A third combination produces an aardvark. Or a moon rock.

The combining and adjusting of these elements in varying proportions takes place over a period of thousands and hundreds of thousands of years. We call those varying combinations adaptations, and we've labeled the entire process evolution.

I know that the idea that all of Life has evolved from the same primordial soup is a controversial subject. There are those who want to believe that humans were produced in a single stroke, all at once and as a separate (and special) creation of the Divine, disconnected from the development of any other living thing. Yet science—and now space science—seems to be confirming that Life is energy, emerging in endless variation from a single Essential Essence.

There are, then, only two questions remaining regarding this birthing energy: (1) What is its quality? (2) What is its capacity or capability?

Here is the Answer to Question #1: The fundamental quality of the Essential Essence is that it is ever-moving and ever-present. It is simply Undifferentiated energy in its purest expression. It could be called the Stem Cell of the Universe.

A stem cell in your body, as you know, is defined as “an undifferentiated cell of a multicellular organism that is capable of giving rise to more cells of the same type, and from which certain other kinds of cells arise by differentiation.”

I am given to understand that by employing the analogy of All That Exists as a single entity, the Essential Essence could then be understood to be its “stem cell.”

What is being described here is a single unit—which I have taken to call in The Singularity (a phrase borrowed from Gene Roddenberry)—whose chief quality or prime force is vibration. It is constantly in motion, oscillating at particular frequencies, and It is present wherever there is what we call “life”—for Itis Life Itself, in its purest or most undiluted, unaltered form.

Human beings and all other life forms are Singularizations of The Singularity. That is, we are altered, diluted forms of the Essential Essence. We are differentiations of the Undifferentiated Energy that I call God.

You can call this Undifferentiated  Energy whatever you wish. Call it the Prime Force, the Unmoved Mover, That Which Is, the Essential Essence—or by more personal names if it pleases you, such as Adonai, Akshar, Allah, Brahma, Deus, Divinity, Divine Mother, Ekankar, Elohim, God, Hari, Indra, Jehovah, Krishna, Lord, Mahesh, Manitou, Ormuzd, Parameshwar, Purush, Purush- ottam, Radha Soami, Ram, Rama, Theos, Thor, Varuna, Vishnu, Yahweh, and others.

This Essential Essence has one other quality that is important to describe. It is Self-Conscious. That is, It is aware of Itself as Itself. Yet while It knows Itself to be Exactly What It Is, It cannot experience Itself as that in the absence of something else. The challenge is that there IS nothing else in existence except That Which Exists.

This is All That Is. So if All That Is wished to know Itself experientially (which It did, because simply being something was not enough), It would have to create something other than Itself. Yet such a thing is impossible because that which begets is always part of the begotten. Every offspring or manifestation of life is part of that from which it emerged.

Because All That Is could not create something Other Than Itself, that which is Pure Existence was presented with its first question: How to experience Itself when there was nothing but Itself? The solution was simple: Allow Itself to forget Itself, so that it would seem like Something Else.

This would allow Essential Essence to know Itself experientially as the Creator, through the expression ofItself in forgetfulness of the fact that everything has already been created. Thus, forgetfulness is the greatest gift that Life ever gave to Life. As is its companion: remembrance. For when Life remembers Itself as What It Really Is, the Cycle of Life is complete, with Pure Being manifesting as Knowing Manifesting as Experiencing manifesting as Pure Being once again.

And this can be accomplished at any time on the Cycle of Life. Death is merely our assurance that it will occur.

People have asked, “Why must we die?” “Why is death inevitable?” And now you know the answer. What you call “death” is the greatest gift of life. It is God making sure that your forgetfulness doesn't last forever. It is God reclaiming you as part of Itself by reuniting you with Itself, and then releasing you from non-differentiation with Itself, that It might know Itself again in experience, through you.

And the ways in which you may experience the Part of God that is You are unlimited. You may ever return to physicality in the exact same form in which you most recently exited. Indeed, you may return as your Present Self as many times as you wish, as many times as it serves you to do so, given your built-in, cellularly-encoded desire to experience yourself as who you truly are.

People who come back again and again as the Same Self are often called, in their later repeated incarnations, avatars or sages or even saints.

Or even . . . God.

(“Is it not written, ‘Ye are gods’?”)

This, then, is the answer to Question #1 regarding the quality of the birthing energy which created what we call Life. In a future entry here we’ll look at Question #2: What is the capacity or capability of that birthing energy? 

These are not unimportant questions. Please don’t think of them as simply esoteric explorations. Your deep understanding --- and total implementation --- of the answers arising from the CWG body of work can change your life immeasurably for the better.
