Facilitating a Celebration of Life (CoL)

Facilitator Recruiting

This is a simple process whose objective is to secure vibrational match between the Candidates and the task.

The steps are:

  • Candidates express their interest via email to dimitra.boura [at] humanitysteam [dot] org.
  • They receive a response with information and an Application form.
  • They fill in the Application Form and return it to HT WW Education & Inner Work Team.
  • We study the forms and set a telephone appointment with the candidates. During the call we get to know the candidates better, and they get the opportunity to know us and understand the task, by getting answers to all their questions.
  • At the end of the call, both sides have the information required to know whether there is a vibrational match between the candidate and the task and candidates can say whether they will proceed with the training or not.
  • Then the HT WW Education & Inner Work Team asks the candidates to subscribe to the training by visiting the site of CWG foundation who will be caring out the training for HT.

Facilitator Training

To encourage a consistent level of quality facilitation and assure a high-quality experience for the attendants of the Celebration ofLife events, accepted applicants will go through eight weeks of telephone and online facilitator training.

The telephone and online training, is designed to help the facilitators share major CwG and New Spirituality concepts clearly, concisely and effectively, as well as oversee the heart felt/ 'in-to-me-see" time sharing. At the same time it invites them to delve into their own growth challenges and opportunities. In doing this it helps them step into a fuller sense of Who They Really Are, so that they can contribute not just to Celebration of Life experiences that are rewarding for everyone involved, but to the world at large as well.

The training is conducted by teammate Johanna Gabriel, Director of Education of the ReCreation Foundation, and Maria Ribeiro Fereira Humanity's team World Wide Education & Inner Work Porgrams Coordinator.

  • The training will be done over the Internet and conference calling, so everyone has access to this and does not need to travel to on-site training.
  • Training includes 2 x 1hr conference calls per week and Internet exercises.
  • Call 1 - Training on presenting lecture/discussion and holding space for the entire evening.
  • Call 2 - Training on facilitating sharing - "in-to-me-see" Time.
  • Duration - 2 months (total of 16 calls)
  • There will be on going training waves, with one starting every 2 -3 months. The first 2 waves of training have been completed end January 07 and end May O7 respectively. The third wave is planned to start mid July 07.

The fee for the training is $240(US) for teammates in the United States, Britain and Europe and $180(US) for teammates in Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. Teammates in countries with lower exchange rates against the U.S. dollar will be considered for a lower tuition fee.

Payment plans and scholarships are available.

Facilitator Ongoing Support

Following the training, Humanity's Team will provide to the facilitators, ongoing support and guidance.

This will include:

  • List of topics sent out every quarter
  • Weekly training calls where facilitators will receive support on how to handle the topic of the week. Calls will be recorded for those who do not manage to attend them.
  • List of books references for facilitators to study or refer to, should they wish to obtain a broader view of the topic.
  • Email answering questions from facilitators about Celebration of Life Events.

Support will be also provided by the Recreation Foundation - Johanna Gabriel - in cooperation with Humanity's Team World WIde Education & Inner Work Coordinators Maria Ribeiro Ferreira ans An Education and Inner Work representative will also be available, seven days a week, to answer any questions and to otherwise aid and encourage Celebration of Life facilitators.
